Our final two challenges of 2014 have just returned safe and sound from Nepal and Uganda! What an amazing year at Action for Charity and Dream Challenges! It started in January/February with two amazing Gorilla treks in Uganda! Our Kilimanjaro trekkers in February had a 100% success rate! Our Let’s Trek for Children and Britain V Cancer trekkers both hiked the Himalayas in April and May for their charities raising thousands. May was all about Women V Cancer! Over 100 amazing women braved the heat and cycled Cuba and the first Women V Cancer Ride the Night challenge in London raised over £1m for our Women V Cancer charities. June and July was all about the team challenges! Over 100 teams took on the first Ben Nevis Charity Challenge to raise funds for the charity of their choice, it was a record breaking year for the Snowdonia Charity Challenge, we had a new course record on Trek50, the second Race the Sun Brecon Beacons saw over 80 teams take part and the 3 Peaks Challenge was a phenomenal success again. Our team challenge season finished in August with over 80 teams taking on our famous Race the Sun Lake District challenge. September saw over 100 women cycle the hills of China for Women V Cancer and a brilliant team of 100 cycle from London to Paris to raise funds for the charity of their choice. Our amazing year of events ended in October with our fifth and final Women V Cancer Cycle Cuba challenge, two more teams successfully tracked down the Gorillas in Uganda and our second Let’s Trek for Children group made it to Poon Hill in Nepal!
