Our first Co Wicklow/Whitwood Yorkshire DNA test results are through, and show that this is a solidly irish ancestry - with a match to the haplotype for descendants of Niall of the nine hostages (about 450AD) - along with about 3 million other men! This is definitely not the same haplotype as the three Co Wexford family groups who have been tested so far, who are far more likely to have descended from the much more recent (12th century) immigrants to Wexford via the Flemish communities in Wales. Any more menfolk out there who want to see what their S-NN-T DNA shows?
