Our first FULL day in England went like this: Whats POSITIVE- 1) We enrolled Reagan in English school and he starts tomorrow. Yeah- thats pretty darn cool. 2) Our cottage is awesome, the furniture is dated, but awesome. 3) We are able to spend time with Neils family which we rarely see. And I have a really awesome sister in law that I get to do things with and Neils brother is HILARIOUS. THEY are the cool Stanfords :-) 4) I have the best and most trustworthy admin assistant who has been a BLESSING in helping me while transitioning over here... 5) Voxer has been my soul food in hearing my friends and familys voices. 6) We didnt wreck the car today! Why do I refuse to drive?....Because even Neil has driven on the wrong side of the road nearly 20 times today just out of habit. We got honked and headlight flashed several times to avoid a head on crash. Each time wed laugh and say, Ooops! Wrong side again! 7) We joined a kick ass gym where I plan on doing my fitness DVDs, sitting in their hot tub (a lot), getting sports massages and sharing what my business can do to help grow theirs :-) 8) My Refinery team kicks ass. They are very self sufficient and it makes me PROUD yet DISTANCE is measured in MILES, not kilometers. Everything is metric here, BUT distance. Thats just totally weird and makes NO SENSE. ESPECIALLY when buying fuel one way that measured in another. 2) Credit card swipe transactions MUST be done in your presence, including at a restaurant. Thats cool. 3) IM the one that talks funny. Not Neil. What MATTERS- 1) Safety. Not only did we arrive safely in England, but my mom and Ken arrived in Hong Hong safe and sound, too. My daughters are safe with their dad and Judie and I appreciate the life they give them in my absence. That sense of peace is priceless. 2) Having freedom. To live, breathe and move where and when ever we choose. Because of Beachbody- we are not bound to any zip code, limited number of days off, or lifestyle. We can live any adventure we choose. I never had that with my previous regular jobs. 3) Culture. No culture is perfect. But to have the diversity not only for us, but also our children to experience and appreciate other cultures in our world, and not be ethnocentric, I feel is so important to appreciate fully what we have in the US. Our government isnt perfect, but we have a voice and a vote to change what we feel needs work. Life can be really damn good, and life can be really damn awful. So when its good, mediocre or even kinda crappy, wrap your arms around it and appreciate and find the positive. When its bad, find the best way to cope with it and be as strong as you can on that given day. Love your friends and your family and understand that we are all on this really big earth just trying to do the best we can :-) Onward and upward my friends ----> Neil Stanford
