Our first PCS of ians military career and of course you know we had to make it even more difficult. Ian will be doing a year unaccompanied tour in Korea while he is there I will be going back to Kauai. It was a tough decision with a lot of discussion but I knew it was something Ian wanted to do so of course I agreed. Never would we have thought we would be stuck paying for our household goods to be shipped as well as my flight. The flight for me doesnt matter paying for it ourselves makes it easier to match up for charlotte but our household goods come on. We are entitled to certain things when we move and since I am not going to our follow on they will not pay for our things to be sent to Hawaii. They will either pay for it to go to Hawaii or to our follow on after Korea were trying to get somewhere in Europe since ian will have base of preference after doing his tour in Korea. I would go to our follow on but it is hard to get sofa status with your spouse not being there. I dont understand how the military works, you wait forever for everything then to be told sorry you have to pay for everything yourself. Being a military family has its good and bad. Not what I was hoping for on our first PCS I know they never are easy but this is a little redonkulous
