Our first consideration is the health and safety of our people. In making this decision, our government is acting responsibly and respecting the balance between economic development and environmental protection, NL Natural Resources Minister Derrick Dalley said. I want people to note..LABRADORIANS especially, one of the things this Minister says is that it was the PUBLIC CONCERN that was a big factor in making this decision...that they HEARD the voices of the people and put their health/environment ahead of industry now I will ask How does it feel to know that no matter how much public outcries have happened in Labrador, not one issue has yet to be actually mitigated or resolved??? How is it that as the NL HOA opens today that NO ONE spoke of Agent White and the intention of Nalcor to spray it along the southern Labrador corridor or that Muskrat Falls megadam will kill an entire river system and choke off the nutrients of 8 rivers from making their usual trek to where our fishery depends on them..no talk of the over 40 artifact sites that have been found at Muskrat Falls already, the history of the original cultures and travellers of Labrador, boxed up while the buzz of chainsaws slaughters all around them..yes, not one sound about that. All matters are killed in the water as the Labrador voting population is too small I guess..and our health, environment and very vocal concerns are not as important as the economic growth..as a Labradorian watching our land/water being bargained off and treated so disrespectfully, I am insulted for Labrador and very happy for Nflders who wont have to watch their Elders get arrested and rivers destroyed in the name of money and industry..well done voices of western Nfld and all who joined to support them..No Fracking NL!! cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/fracking-on-hold-near-gros-morne-dunderdale-gov-t-says-1.2355701
