Our friends, Richmond Players, are holding auditions at 7pm on Mon 11 Nov for Twelve Angry Men: Twelve Angry Men - Audition information Audition information sheet: The Richmond Players are pleased to have obtained the rights to stage a production of Sherman Sergel and Reginald Rose’s Twelve Angry Men. Our audition and information night is at the Richmond School of Arts on Monday 11th November at 7 pm. The School of Arts is on the corner of West Market and MarchStreets in Richmond. A further audition night will be held on Monday 18th November only if necessary. Those interested in attending are requested to communicate their interest to Nathan on 0412 141 811 or nathanzamprogno@gmail. At this point, we anticipate having six performances of the play on Saturdays in May 2014. Provisionally, the 17th, 24th and 31sthave been set. Rehearsals would commence in mid February 2014, around the 10th, and wouldcontinue each Monday and Wednesday evening. In addition, one additional day will be required for a dress rehearsal, TBA. Stylistically, it is intended to stage an authentic period adaptation, with set and costumes evoking the 1950s. Strictly only one role demands an accent (Juror #11) but we will see how the creative process unfolds. Our decision to stage the traditional, all-male version of the play opens possibilities for a range of actors to participate. Several of the roles could be played by men as young as their early twenties. Equally, some roles will bebest filled by mature actors. No special preparation is requested of auditionees apart from some awareness of the roles (see attached) and some thoughts on what you would bring to a part. We will be reading vignettes from the script. Expect to read for several parts and be prepared to be flexible. Empathy and excellent diction will be highly valued. Richmond Players stages excellent productions that are well received by our audiences. This will be a lot of fun. Please consider auditioning regardless of whether this is your first play or you’re a veteran. Yours Sincerely, Nathan Zamprogno, Vice President, Richmond Players. Director, Twelve Angry Men.
