Our goat buying ordeal today... We drive almost two hours to buy this car from a small mom and poo dealership. We get there and the car is chilling, waiting on us. We look it over and it seems fine. Little hiccups with the body kit that can be fixed. Couple scratches that can be fixed. Hazy headlight that can be replaced. Pop the hood, everything seems cool. We take it for a test drive. Maybe 3-4 miles total. Get back to the dealership and while talking to the owner, we notice coolant coming out of the grill. Pop the hood and start searching. Cant find the source. Upon inspection, we notice deer hair stuck to the battery.... Its been wrecked. Carfax and title are both clean. We Jew him down a little. Very little. ($300). We dont think its a big deal so we sign papers at $15,500 and we will fix the leak when we get home. We told him to give us two gallons of coolant incase we need to patch it on the way home. We follow him to NAPA and after he buys the coolant, he jets. As quickly as we put the coolant in, it pours out. We call him to have it towed to Goodyear down the street so they can put it on a lift and we can see if this is serious and worth pursuing. Busted radiator. No big deal, the owner agrees to fix it. They cant get one in until tomorrow morning. We Jewed him into filling up both vehicles for the trouble. This all took place in the span of about 4 hours. Sigh. Back at it tomorrow. Are we crazy?
