Our hillside colored in waves of green and yellow John Deere tractors, was the scene this morning as my husband and his brother led the way, taking their dad to his final resting place. With fellow farmers and family following . Grandchildren piled in grandpas kabota bringing up the rear. He rode that kabota everywhere. Leaving the tractors running during the service was the perfect music for dad. Brad Brown did the service and it was just perfect, the way dad would have wanted it. Brad also read the poem And God Made a Farmer A perfect day to celebrate a dedicated farmers life. We miss him already. But as the wind blows through the wheat and the corn fields we will hear his whispers.
