Our home is peaceful in the sense that no one is being belittled, - TopicsExpress

Our home is peaceful in the sense that no one is being belittled, mocked, or screamed at. Its peaceful in the sense that we dont spank, we dont punish, and we dont shame. Its peaceful in the sense that everyone has a right to their body and property. But peaceful? Serene and tranquil? Like a library? Like a placid lake? Like snow falling on cedars? Oh, hell no. Random wrestling matches break out - all consensual, of course. Running and shrieking are common; roughhousing is the norm. Peaceful? Yes. No one is forced to participate. No one encroaches. But peaceful, as in quiet? Nope. Do we sing (to the tune of Who Let the Dogs Out?) Who Pooped Their Pants? Yes, we do. Do we play chase, were the object is for me to capture the children and throw them on the couch? Oh, yes. Do we joke, sing, and laugh uproariously - at high volume? You betcha. Do we crank-up Guerrilla Radio and form a mosh pit in the living room? You know we do. Peaceful? No. We live out loud here. But its peaceful in the sense that everyones rights are respected. No ones forced to get in the pit and love someone... Its wild and crazy here. I love it. Turn that sh*t up!
