Our kids received theyre report cards right before spring break.....Ari made all As and 1 B in reading....which was good and I praised her like I always do. This morning I sent a letter to her teacher..asking if we could schedule a conference to get on one accord about helping Ari improve her grade....might I add Ari has always done well in reading....this evening she sent me a letter stating she was so sorry and that it was her mistake and she entered a 10% instead of 100% for one of her Vocabulary tests...and that it was fixed and that Ari will be recognized for making all As! Moral of the story PARENTS GET INVOLVED WITH OUR EDUCATORS...STAY INCLUDED AND ASKS QUESTIONS. Im going to pray about this situation because It just doesnt sit well with me that Aris grade has gone from a 87 to a 93 because of an alleged hiccup. I hope I dont offend anyone but its the truth I mentor once a week at a predominantly Black school and the teachers class Im in said parent participation from African American parents is almost non-existant and thats sad but were quick to want to cuss a teacher out if we feel our kids behavior is misunderstood. Get involved. Your childs future depends on it. As long as I have breath in my body I will go over and beyond for Ari...I want her to be better than me!
