Our landlord Richard Horak seems to think it is ok to first verbally assault our 12 year old daughter, allow mold to grow in our apartment for 3 months refusing to make repairs, along with a flood from the up stairs tenant that has caused the kitchen ceiling to bow along with mold without repairs, his daughter to harrass us and the upstairs neighbor to make noise all hours of the night and allowed her kids to dump liquid out of their window into our windows along with garbage all over our entrance, thinks it is ok to try and sue me for moving out earlier and may I remind you I am not the only one on the lease although I am the one whom had a conflict with his daughter. Oh and I also reported him to the Fair Housing people in Boise a week ago. Any how he has decided to sue me because I refuse to live in a place that has caused my daughter and my asthma to act up everyday, along with our car being keyed and the fact that he had another tenant whom had nothing to do with anything serve me the papers even though he had them in his hands when he seen me get home from work. The apartments are located at 1380 Camas street. I also know that several other tenants have issues with Richard Horak and would reccomend under no circumstances you rent from this man. He is a slum lord at their finest. There had been other issues that I have not mentioned however are just as concerning as those I have mentioned. I assure you that these apartments are available for a very good reason and I have proof of his neglect along with proof we have met our responsibilities as good tenants. I plan to fight his suit and I have pictures along with other proof to prove why he has forced us into an early termination of our lease. Just wanted to let the unsuspecting possible tenant understand what it might intail to rent from Richard Horak at 1380 Camas Street. I would not wish anyone to deal with the issues we have been forced to face even though he might seem like a good person and it might seem an easy place to rent. Richard does not live up to his responsibilities and as far as I am concerned is a SLUMLORD by the very definition.
