Our lil tator tot was admitted last night to the hospital Her fever soared to 103. The green discharged started again, shes congested and had difficulty breathing. She also wouldnt accept any food from my hand, which is not like her. She likes to eat!! Vet started her on Antibiotic IV, ordered a chest xray, and she was on oxygen as of last night as a precaution. This is NOT the typical kennel cough from the shelter. She was quiet with no outward signs of KC. 3rd week..the cough..this week discharge and fever. Through all this time, shes been on antibiotics. Her eyes even cleared up, as well as her ear infections. As we rushed her in last night, she sat across my lap...she looked up at me..wagged her tail and licked my chin. Anxious to hear from the vet today. And honestly, Ive been so anxious and meticulous with her meds and iso space. I want to incorporate her into my pack at home, my dogs are so well socialized I want her to experience the pack ...I enjoy watching the behaviours blossom in a rescue, its the best medicine and added sense of security and balance. Come on TatorTot...get better soon :)
