Our little Sheltie, companion of 16 years has not been doing - TopicsExpress

Our little Sheltie, companion of 16 years has not been doing stairs for some time but now spends lonely hours while I am upstairs in Jims room. And lonely she is. Laura will begin carrying her up and down today so that Ginga can take her station by her Master. The Cross Cancer Institute contacted me yesterday. I had been under impression that CCancer would be involved only as to radiation and chemo, neither of which they will happen, given Jims particular situation. I had been under impression that CCancer would be involved only as to radiation and chemo, but Jim is deemed one of their patients and the CCancer willl be making recommendations to Jims family doctor, as to palliative symptom relief. Clearly there is expertise there which we are immensely grateful to be able to access. Beth phones every day, more than once a day, Naomi and Terry come whenever possible, and Laura and I hold the fort with support of Home Care who is a bright star guiding us along this journey. And Grandson James calls regularly. Friends minister to us all in a myriad of ways ... We count our blessings.
