Our little hamlet of Oyster Bay was first settled in the early 1600s and has been part of our countrys history ever since. Flash forward and my friends Anthony and Jim are restoring a 1700s Saltbox home on East Main Street for their law offices, leaving a lot of the building exposed to show the original construction. Check out the wooden peg fasteners in the beams and the rock foundation. I have a feeling that the back of the building was added on at some time. Any time these two guys get together on something, it happens. Love it.
