The Rocket Club is pleased to announce the launch of The Rocket Comedy Club, a weekly, 200 capacity City Centre comedy club that will feature established, local comedians performing alongside circuit headliners on every bill. The official launch date for Rocket Comedy is Friday 19th September. The Rocket Club believes that The Rocket Comedy Club will offer the people of Birmingham something that many local comedy nights don’t, as their venue was originally the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, and was purpose built for live and intimate entertainment but is now only currently used as a popular, late-night Gentlemen’s Club. General Manager, Warrick Ramseier commented, “We’re so excited about our comedy club launch. Our venue offers so much to audiences and acts alike. An intimate auditorium that is perfect for live performance, luxurious, tiered seating with tables, state of the art light and sound facilities and backstage areas for acts. Our tickets will also be reasonably priced, as we want everyone from the local area and beyond, to be able to come and enjoy a night of top class comedy with us, without breaking the bank. He also explained that “Our comedy shows will not overlap with our current late-night entertainment, and audiences will have the opportunity to leave the venue before this commences.” The Rocket Club have chosen Hilarious Comedy as their booking partners. ”Ryan Gough from Hilarious Comedy said, “This is a fantastic addition to the stable of venues that we currently book. Our team are thrilled to have been selected to curate the weekly line ups for The Rocket Comedy Club and our aim will be to combine our favourite, circuit headliners with the cream of local acts. Brummies like nothing more than to have a laugh at themselves and their City, and we know they love to see ‘one of their own’ on stage entertaining them on Broad Street. We can’t wait to get started!”
