Our nation`s finances are suffering from many things, among them is a `Deficit growth` on the budget sheet. - My theory on this is simple. Pay low wages, on `Zero hours` contracts, i.e. slave labour, and many of these do not even qualify for tax deduction, because there is simply not enough money for the `wage -earner` to live on. As a consequence of this, although the factory owner etc; may see large ( offshore ) profits generated, - no direct taxes are deducted at source and paid into our own exchequer, - so the national `deficit` rises. This is a `summary` of this present situation : Deficit ! . Pay us low, let us relax, Pay us so, we don`t pay tax, Keep us all, on bottom wage, Let us rot, in our old age. Up our wages, then we play, Income taxes, we will pay, Money raised will help the poor, Keep starvation, from the door. Britain`s deficit, wider grows, Two tier system, broader rows, Those that have, and those who do not, Got no money, in the pot. Foriegn owners, British slaves, `Zero contracts`, in enclaves, Profits in offshore accounts, Britain`s deficit, simply mounts. Living wages, tax to pay, Help to bring, a better day, Deficit, will lower then, Bought back down, by working men. End slave labour, end slave pay, End `zero contracts`, that`s not the way, Pay more taxes, in the pot, Increase the hope, of Britain`s lot. Mick. ( Copyright Michael Westwood 2014 ).
