Our national addiction to outrage has been steadily growing worse over the past couple of years. Now it seems like comedians are the target of choice for a growing witch hunt that doesnt demand accountability or meaningful dialogue; it only bullies an apology out of someone who made a tasteless gaff. By shaming our artists for pushing boundaries we as a nation are running the risk of endorsing mediocrity and stifling our freedom of speech. I dont know if Stephen Colberts tweet was racist, nor have I seen the sketch it was based on. What I do know is that the good that hes done far outweighs the bad. Dont be dumb. Dont support this #CancelColbert crap.
