Our nation’s seniors deserve the utmost comfort and peace of mind when it comes to their health. The cuts to Medicare Part D recently proposed by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) would have jeopardized the success of that program in meeting the needs of the generation to whom we owe so much gratitude and who rely so dearly upon our care. I am heartened that CMS took our concerns into account when issuing the final call letter, I thank those who stood with me to protect our seniors, and I look forward to working with leaders in both parties to keep Medicare fully protected for those who depend on it.
