Our neighbors have dogs that often get out. I dont want them to be picked up by the animal shelter knowing they charge a lot for people to get their pets back. The other day when it was pouring rain the dogs were out again so I sent my teenage son out to let the neighbors know their dogs were out... but the neighbors werent home. My son was sweet enough to put one of the dogs on a leash and hook him to a bench we have out front and set up our sunbrella to shelter the dog. After all that effort the dog chewed through our perfectly good leash and roamed around anyway, but I sure do appreciate my son for going to all the trouble he did. The neighbors will never know what he did, but that is a good kid!
