Our night at the Awards was awesome. To have won our category From the sea was great, but when we received Producer of the Year from amongst all those fantastic finalists in every producer category.......we were so honoured. Met some lovely producers from all states of Australia, got a cuddle from Matt Preston, kiss on the cheek from Guillaume Brahimi and a beautiful photo with Maggie Beer. We had the opportunity to speak with a countless number of chefs and foodies and kicked on to the after party for a quiet drink. One of the highlights of our lives both personal and business Thanks to the sponsors, the staff of Delicious magazine and all involved in putting on the awards (and after party). Our fish was presented spectacularly on the evening by gang at kitchenbymike, what a great venue! Congrats to the other winners and medalists. To all those who have offered us encouragement and mentoring along the way - we are grateful. Thanks to our beautiful girls Rachel and Roxanne who have had to put up with all of our fishy business over the years - they helped us get started and they came and went and came back again when they needed a job. They are now pursuing their dreams. Finally thanks to all those who have worked with us over the past 23 years especially those who stuck around for a while. We acknowledge it has been a team effort with some long hours and hard days. But mostly it has been rewarding.
