Our now defunct 43 year old National Welfare Council killed by Tories, BUT respectfully re-birthed by Ken Battle and Sherri Torjman, and now called the CANADA SOCIAL REPORT, a non-governmental institution….burned/axed like other Canadian institutions i.e. National Roundtable on the Environment and Economy, the Health Council of Canada, the National Council of Visible Minorities, the Canadian Council on Learning, and the Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Development… to name a few. Without comprehensive information, Canadians are susceptible to the myths, misconceptions and half-truths that persist in social policy, a goal for repressive Tories. Check it out.
