Our opponents say that we ran away from Delhi, but the truth is we did not run away. We resigned so that we can be back strongly (majority) and achieve Delhi of our dreams. Why did Aam Aadmi Party Government resign from Delhi ? 1) As you all know AAP had got only 28 seats, and BJP had 32 seats and Congress had 8 seats. AAP had 8 seats less than the majority. AAP required 36 seats in assembly to pass any bill. 2) As you know, AAP could not pass the Lokpal Bill because Congress-BJP didnt allow in the Assembly. 3) Similarly for every other bill to be passed, AAP would have to be dependent on BJP- CONGRESS to pass the bill and everytime they would create the same issues and blockage in passing the bills. 4) So because of lack of majority, it was clear that the AAP Government cant do much work, the amount of work it can do through majority. 5) So, AAP decided to get rid of this trouble, go for re-polls and get majority so that we dont have to be dependent on BJP- CONGRESS for passing the bills again n again. So that similar blockages dont happen again. This is why, AAP resigned, to come back with more seats, with majority, AAP, Arvind Kejriwal have not ran away, they just resigned to come back more strongly, they asked for re-polls so that they can do more work with 36 seats (majority) compared to 28 seats(minority) they earlier had.
