Our post about grafitti at Barker Dam yesterday generated a lot of great discussion. Were so glad to see that so many people care so much about protecting the parks irreplaceable resources. This week, a conservator will be working on site to test treatment options for the dam. The damages done to this structure as a result of the recent and prolific graffiti is irreparable, but restoration techniques can be used to mask the blatant damage. Approximately 44 percent of the dam’s interior wall has been defaced with graffiti etched directly onto the historic fabric.
