Our remarkable amazing loving pet Rudy crossed over the Rainbow Bridge around 2 am this morning. For Marriah and me our hearts are filled with pain and sadness. From the first moment we found him at the Sac City shelter we knew this guy was destined be with us. His first act at our first meeting was to jump up on the park bench where Marriah was setting and lay his head in her lap. I have had the privilege to share my time with many wonderful pets in my life, but none could equal the character of this guy. In all our time together Rudy never met a human, another animal, turkey or squirrel he didn’t like. He was beyond a doubt the friendliest most loving dog I ever met. Last night He showed no signs of illness during our evening walk with his brother Charlie. We came home he had some dinner and a sack and sat down beside me to watch the ballgame. At some point he headed off to the bedroom where I found him almost motionless when I went to bed. A mad dash to the emergency vet where I know they did everything they could to save him but in the end he slipped away. I know we are not the only ones to suffer this type of loss recently and for those of you that have I want you to know my heart goes out to you and for all of you who give of your love to a pet I want to say thank you please give them a hug tonight and tell them Rudy sends his love.
