Our son Clarks alveolar bone grafting is Monday. I thought I was ready for this until we met with Dr. Lung today for pre-op teaching. He said that because of the size of bone he is going to harvest (one of the largest loss of bone he has seen in a palate) that Clark will be on a liquid diet for 6 weeks - absolutely no chewing. OMG liquid diet for 6 weeks! I may have to spend the weekend finding great blender recipes, he just cant afford to lose any weight. 6 weeks!
