Our sons situation with a problem soldier in his barracks is expected to be resolved by Tuesday this week. The troubled soldiers return to Ft. Drum was apparently a surprise to everyone, command personnel included. Currently there is a long four-day weekend for the base, so nobody is really there to effect a change before Tuesday, but Jeffs commanding sergeant has communicated that they are Keenly Aware of this problem, and will have this individual transferred to another barracks accomodation on Tuesday. Still not the best idea (in my civilian mind) to have him at Ft. Drum at all, but theyll at least get him out of the immediate proximity to Jeff. Jeff has been staying with the ministry team at the Hospitality House off of the base for the last 24 hours, and will stay there again tonight, minimizing his exposure to the offending individual. *** Your prayers and words of encouragement have been really appreciated by our entire family. And, by the way, Lizzie is home for a few days. Yay.
