Our story starts in April of 2012....Unexpected early delivery....and an a extra unexpected Blessing from above....Zions early birth was meant as he was in a dire way in utero and would not have made it into our world and survived.....But here he is and he is the inspiration and my purpose....Not knowing he had Downs Syndrome prior to birth and tests....I did not care about any of this as I just wanted to hold my baby and bring him home.....He was absolutely beautiful .....that is why Considering Zion exists...I have found that although support groups exist....that when it is the most personal and private as in prenatally and right after birth there is a lack in support...unless you yourself reach out to a local group...or to the national ones that at that moment may seem more about after these initial personal/private moments ...I am Hoping to provide that hand to those who would like to talk to someone at those intimate times when you can feel so alone....
