We are raising money to support CHEO - The Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontarion, located in Ottawa, Ontario where thousands of children are treated each year, regardless of their familys ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few. So, who are we? Well, we are all members of a vast community of gamers in the Ottawa area. We play board games, computer games, card games, Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, and are excited for this opportunity to give back to a hospital that has helped so many children, including most of the members of this team, or their children. CHEO is amazing, with wonderful staff. Our team captain, Barry Faith, is a member of the Canadian Forces, and his wife Johanna Faith, is the manager and operator at our local Games Workshop store. They both have a passion for gaming and helping kids, and have enlisted the help of firends to help them reach thier fundraising goal. On October 25th, 2014, well be part of a huge international celebration of the social impact of gamers with Extra Life and its our sincere hope that youll find it in your heart to support us with a one-time gift that will go directly to CHEO. We will be doing a 24 hour gaming marathon to raise the money. We will be playing all maner of games, and will also be sharing updates on how everything is going, and how our fundraising goals are being met.
