Our tragic front page story today: A mum “died for nothing” barely a week after being sent home from a troubled Birmingham hospital without undergoing a vital scan, an inquest heard. Victoria Pearce died at Good Hope Hospital on December 1, 2010, after suffering a brain haemorrhage. It happened just nine days after the 48-year-old was allowed to leave the hospital without having a CT scan, despite it being recommended by one doctor who examined her. birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/mum-died-after-doctor-refused-6596339
