Our weekend ... where to start ....well I think I should start with a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our Vanguard players in the National Teams Event in Melbourne at the moment. Sirinya, Jarred and Blakes team came 2nd in this event !!!!!!. SOOOO exciting !!!. Morgan and his team also made it to top 8. Congratulations and thanks for flying the Mega Games name in Melbourne. Now remember that if you plan on getting into any mischief with your celebrating, make sure you wear a different shirt ..... perhaps one without our logo on it !!!!. I am so proud of you all ( you couldnt guess though, could you !!! ). Did anything else happen this weekend ? ..... it sure did !!. Magic was on Friday as usual and we had a good crowd, Vanguard was played too and they were a small but noisy group ( fun loving but crazy ). Our Star Trek group were with us and I think weve found another Borg player .... if we keep going like this, the borg will assimilate everyone in sight and theyd be no one left. Good luck to Steve who is honing his skills for the upcoming 1E championships soon. Saturday saw a big group in for Standard Magic and we welcomed some new players from Melbourne...... and then we had a Conspiracy draft and with that our usual band of sneaky players who just have lots of fun and still manage to play the game !!!!!. Our Pokemon crew just gets bigger and bigger ( I think its the cute critters on the cards that gets them )..... and then we had Yu Gi Oh ( sigh ). Actually, group 3 finally found their indoor voices !!!!! and Jacob was the lucky winner of our sneaky spy prize of a Yu Gi Oh deck bag, Congratulations young man. Groups 1 and 2 were also pretty well behaved today ( one of lifes major miracles !!! ) and Liam won a special pk of sleeves for being the most polite person today. The lolly fairy was hard at work today and managed to hide a HUGE bag of jelly beans on my deck in plain sight !!!!!. Hmmmmm tasty !!!!. At the end of the day the shop is still standing, its relatively clean and my Sanity is still intact ( kinda ). Thanks to all the players who came and played with us this weekend, have a great week and try and behave yourselves ( who am I kidding !!!! ). Dont forget that Yu Gi Oh have their Teams Event on next Saturday. Remember that the Team names have to be something Im happy to say out loud !!!!. Also, Magic players .... remember that our Modern event this Saturday will once again give you a chance to win free entry( courtesy of us ) to the PTQ on next Sunday at the Games cube.
