A true spirit in the truest sense, his long history through the pirate radio scene and the raves, resulted in him working with a tremendous list of top talents and it is clearly reflected in his sound which references his reggae roots through later developments up to the present day styles. ‘Kill it Properly’ bursts out with deep, old-school referencing pads over rolling drums, before a rude bassline takes over to carry the tune through to the end over vocal snippets, echoed car horns, and crisp minimalist production details. Made purely for the dance, ‘Run Tingz’ runs fx-drenched vocal samples over heavy hard-hitting bass, clean drums, and high energy. One of legendary singer Johnny Osbourne’s famous tunes is refixed for ‘The Farda’, this time with deeper, headier treatments on the backing track that recall vintage dub styles. ‘Jungle Techno’ goes back to the bass bins and works dramatic orchestral & vocal samples against elephant-stomping bass. Finally, ‘Jah Loving’ is more playful with its hand drums, low-bit sounds, and classic dub bleeps.
