Over 12 years since that fateful September morning, the National September 11 Memorial Museum was dedicated today in lower Manhattan, commemorating a surreal and somber moment in the history of our magnificent city and our great nation. Like most Americans, especially those on Staten Island and Brooklyn whose lives were forever changed by the loss of friends and loved ones, I will never forget that day. More than the intense feelings of pain and loss, the memories of love, sacrifice, and heroism left behind by the brave victims and first-responders will be honored and cherished now and forever. May the victims and their families find peace and comfort and may God forever bless this great country and city of ours.
