Over 130 African Migrants Drown In The Mediterranean Sea NB: SOME OF THE PICTURES ARE GRAPHIC. In the times past, Africa was nice and beautiful. No one wanted to leave and carting off an African to slave plantations overseas was a monumental tragedy. But not anymore, as African in their droves now risk EVERYTHING including their lives to enter Europe (no thanks to our visionless leaders in Africa who have succeeded in pauperizing the continent to the extent that African now prefer to live under their former colonial masters). It has happened again. Yes, it is now almost a yearly thing. Over 130 African migrants have died and many more are now missing when a boat carrying them to Europe sank off the southern Italian island of Lampedusa. 103 bodies have been recovered so far and many more are still being discovered in the boat wreck, according to the Italian coast guards (African leaders, thunder faya all of you o! If our countries for make sense, who will leave?) According to reports, a fire broke out on the boat and many jumped into the sea in a bid to escape. Over 150 migrants have been rescued sha. A vast majority of those on the boat were from the Horn of African nations of Somalia and Eritrea, according to the United Nations (UN). The boat itself was said to be carrying up to 500 people as at the time of its sinking and about 200 of the passengers were not accounted for. Hmmm….Mama Afrika…the saddest thing is that this may happen again sometimes next year. In the meantime, the survivors have narrated their horrible ordeal. The ship had taken off in Misrata, Libya and was already on the water when its motor stopped working. Some say that they might have set a piece of material on fire so as to attract the attention of other ships to their vessel before the fire spread. In the confusion, many of the migrants moved to one side of the boat to escape the fire…the boat then capsized under their weight… Simona Moscarelli of the Rome-based International Organization for Migration in Rome told the BBC that only about six out of the 100 women on board survived and many of the migrants could not swim… The Italian Prime Minister, Enrico Letta described it as an ‘immense tragedy’. African leaders….wake up…, while you keep lying, your people are crying and dying…
