Over five years ago, Tony, Erin and I started the Flower Mound Cares Facebook page as a way to raise awareness regarding issues facing our town. Initially, it was to discuss the gas drilling issue that was sweeping through our town. Over the years the page has evolved to one that touches a broad range of topics from the on goings in town hall to who has the best donuts in town. Flower Mound Cares has grown from a few hundred members to over 5700 today. It has been great to watch this page grow over the years and we have made a lot of good friends in Flower Mound over that time as well. Most importantly, we are happy that we have been able to provide an open forum for the community. While it is not perfect, we believe it is a great resource for the members. Just as the site has changed over the years, so has our availability to moderate the site. There are just not enough hours left in the day anymore. So with that said, we would like to announce that Eric Jellison will be taking over as the moderator of Flower Mound Cares Facebook Group. Eric has some great ideas on how to continue further evolve the page to support local charities. Please welcome Eric and go easy on him during the transition. ;) We are confident that he will continue to fulfill the mission of this page to be a great resource for FloMo residents.
