Over the course of the last year the Hall has developed a closer working relationship with the Rotary Club of Sausalito under the leadership of its President, Ron Albert. Our joint activities included the placement of a text at Rotary Villages Chamarita Room to highlight the Portuguese-American history of the site, a Portuguese wine tasting in February. and the Kids Against Hunger food packing event at the Hall just this past month. Rons one-year term as President of the Club has now ended. Heres a photo taken earlier today at the Clubs weekly lunch at the Sausalito Yacht Club showing Ron (on the right) with incoming Club President Steve Fabes hosting the banner of the Estoril-Praia Primeira Liga soccer club whose home stadium is in Cascais, Sausalitos Portuguese sister city. Ron had the opportunity last June to visit Portugal to represent Sausalito at Rotary Internationals annual meeting held in Lisbon, and also while there toured the country including Cascais. Muito obrigado to Ron and the Rotary Club of Sausalito for their collaboration this past year. We look forward to advancing that relationship under Steves administration.
