Over the last days, have been shuttling multiple tons of donated cement, rock and tile to Sitio Abuno, Okoy Barangay. This broken up material is not very suitable for rebuilding but is perfect for filling some of the bad mud holes and raising the ground level on the main road so the residents dont have to walk in such deep waters during rainy times or Typhoons. Please see the pictures at the end to see some of the flooding that was present here after Typhoon Ruby. The worst of it (6-16) was still present 2 days after the storm when we visited. This donated material will only help a little bit but we are currently working on a longer term solution for new homes and proper drainage.
