Over the last week the team have been racing all over the place. Firstly the World Triathlon Champs were held in Edmonton Canada where I had 7 athletes taking part in 3 different events. The events were the Aquathon which was a 750mt swim, 5km run, Sprint distance triathlon 750mt swim, 20km bike, 5km run and Olympic distance triathlon 1500mt swim, 40km bike 10km run. In the age group 16-19 Becky Hawthorne 12th (aquathon) 47th (sprint distance) / Emelie Clarke 14th (sprint) / Sophie Bright 24th (sprint) / Emma Stewart 38th. Age group 25-29 Kerri Ball 10th (sprint) Age group 30-34 Jo Crawford 9th (sprint) Age group 45-49 Danie Mars 46th (Olympic) Also at the NZ Duathlon Champs I had 5 members racing this event. This is a run, bike, run and was held in Taupo. U15 Thomas McCallum 12th U16 Henry Gautrey 2nd U19 Mitchell Rutter 2nd U19 Christian Davey 3rd 30-34 age group Natalie Hardaker 1st and 3rd women overall.
