Over the last year I have been on a journey of real change in how I see myself. God created me in His likeness to be beautiful and powerful and authentic and unafraid. He gave me gifts and qualities and abilities to move ahead in His purpose serving others – to always move forward and keep my eyes on Him. Today at church we sang Oceans by Hillsong. The words hit me with such meaning. “Your grace abounds in deepest waters, Your sovereign hand will be my guide. Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me, You’ve never failed and You won’t start now. Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, Let me walk upon the waters wherever You would call me. Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander and my faith will be made stronger in the presence of my Savior. I will call upon your name . . . I am Yours, and You are mine.” I say Lord let this be true of me! But is that my deepest intention? When trials come, and they will, when I am overwhelmed and feel like its just all too much – then will I still say “Spirit lead me . . . wherever You would call”? I pray that my deepest intention will always be Yes Lord!
