Over the past few days we have heard speeches from Emma Watson on gender equality and Leonardo DiCaprio on climate change, and yes they were both incredibly powerful and made an impact on us all. We actually applaud them for that. But what happens when a non-celebrity speaks? Will they get the same attention as the famous? Marshallese poet, Kathy Jetnil-Kijiner was selected out of 500 applicants to represent the civil society at the UN Climate Leaders Summit in New York City. She delivered her speech with perfection.
