Over the past two days we have had even more end-of-an-era moments and more things finishing. More endings. In the midst of a HUGE storm our dear Shelley Budgerigar wandered outside and has not returned. Likely she drowned in the storm. While life is so crazy and so full and with so many endings sometimes Im caught off guard with a straw that breaks me. The loss of Shelley has been one of them. We are all grieving her loss. She has been our friend and very much part of our family. For such a small bird, the house feels so empty and quiet without her in it. All part of this season. In memory of our crazy, sweet, friendly, silly, fun, adventurous, human food obsessed,Shelley bird...we miss you.
