Over the past year, I have helped my friends at the Cochran Mill - TopicsExpress

Over the past year, I have helped my friends at the Cochran Mill Nature Center in assisting to care for their venomous snakes. Cochran Mill has a nice exhibit with the venomous snakes of Georgia and a couple of the snakes are specimens that I donated to them quite some time ago. One of the snakes, that I am particularly fond of is a big Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. She is a choice specimen in that she feeds extremely well and is quite good natured. I also did the wrangling with this snake on one of the episodes of the TV series, The Walking Dead. My assistance to the Center is in removing the snakes from their cages, about once per month, to completely clean the cages, including the glass doors. The two photos are of the exhibits and the Eastern Diamondback. Please note, Cochran Mill has their snake day event on Saturday, August 16th. I will be doing a program on the American Alligator from 11 - 11:45. I am also taking the big female albino Burmese Python for snake day as she was originally a snake at Cochran Mill Nature Center. She became too large for their facility so I gave them a 7 foot male to exhibit and I have had the big female for just over two years. She makes her return debut to the Center on Snake Day.....for one day only as she will return to my place on Sunday for future programs.
