Over the recent past years, I grew in a place, well known with her agrarian life style. The men, the women, the old, the young, the rich and the poor, just to mention the collective few, know how to explore the huge natural resources and deposits in the land. The land is greener than an Olive leaf. There has never been such a crop that doesnt do well in the land of my birth, despite where its planted. Think of a place where there is no a specific season of eating fresh vegetables, a place where grasses of diverse varieties grow on peoples thatch houses, just to prove that the land is not just fecund, but also blessed with fertile atmosphere that enables a conducive life of both man, animals and plants. Im talking about a land where fish can be caught with bare hands without hook and sink. A land that has raised Kings and Queens scattered in all walks of life. Yes, Im talking about a land of promise, a land of my own, I dont know of you? But Im convinced, that you would be one of the inhabitants of this great land, specially created by God cacooned with glory, rapped with splendour and embellished with serenity. Each time I think about where I come from I swell with pride, not because Im not a bastard nor a true son of my father, but because Im a bonafide son of the soil. An illustrious son of a blessed land. I still dont know about you? As I keep growing with the scheme of things in this land in discourse, I discovered that many have lost out with the glory of the land, having been apprehended by the untold euphoria of pleasure of other lands where they found themselves either deliberately or accidentally. Forgetting the popular mantra no place like home. No place like my land, no place like Ukawu. A land of beauty. Ukawu! Great Land, Blessed People. Lets join hands together to making the land the place of our dream. God bless Ukawu. God bless my people. If you love this land share this piece with great sons and daughters of our land. Ukawu Kwenu! M le keelee unu ooo. Oduru madu lilee le mma.
