Over the river and through the woods, and up the hill I’ve gone. And now I’ve made it to the top; I’m not sure I want to come down! Maybe I can climb a tree and look out from a limb. But I’m not sure what I’d see that’s any better a view from on him. He’s been right there through the years, on this very day. He does not see it any different; He still greets me with a neigh. He’s been my partner through thick and thin, while others have come and gone. I’m glad to have made this trip with him, than to have had to make it alone. Now I can see it is all downhill, and a long way down it seems. At least it is a different path; it is along another stream. I know the journey will not be easy, as it was not coming up. But I am glad I’ve made it this far, to enjoy the view from atop. I am excited to start the trail, and find out what it has in store. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve had; I’m sure there will be many more. I want to thank my family and friends; Without you, life would have been still. Now I can cool an calmly say, I made it, I am “over the hill!
