Over the summer my oldest kid Matti started a charity Walk for Water to raise funds to help give children in Africa clean drinking water and the opportunity to go to school instead of spending their days collecting water for their family. She was able to raise $5500 for the cause enough to build one shallow well for a community. Her success in thie has been recognized be UNICEF who will be presenting her the humanitarian award that is given to only one kid in the world at the United Nations in New York next week.
