Over the weekend, I attended a Garden Party fundraiser for the Hayward-Ghazni Sister City committee to benefit a Womens literacy project in Ghazni, Afghanistan. As one of the co founders of this committee, I can tell you the importance of what sister cities can do. Sister Cities seek to connect people to people in citizen diplomacy to further peace and goodwill. This creates stronger relationships with diverse communities and sharing common understandings of people around the world. Thank you to Winnie and Gerry Thompson for hosting this worthwhile event!
