Over the years, I had some great conversations with Doug Gillette. I would often drive to his store in Riverside because he always had things first, long before the big name chain stores. He was selling the hot debut Crosby, Stills and Nash album several days before anyone else. His store was also the home of the K/men 129 Wake-a-thon with Chuck Christensen and other fun events. The old store in the Brockton Arcade should be a registered landmark.
