Over the years, I’ve amassed a lot of T-shirts from each of my 4 children’s lives, representing important events, special trips and sports teams, etc. When faced with the dilemma of being buried alive by this growing mountain of well-worn cotton, I stumbled upon the idea of turning them into “memory blankets” so my children could have these memories forever. So, I started searching for an expert who was up to the task. During my search, I came across an article in the Charlotte Business Journal about Kelly Rose, founder and owner of Creative Sewing Solutions, located here in Charlotte. She is a professional seamstress, with a specialty in memory quilts. Jackpot! After reading the article in the CBJ and learning her story, I knew she was the right person for the job. Over the past 6 months, Kelly has made 4 large, amazing memory quilts for each of my children. The quilts are incredible – she designed the layout of each one and really captured the essence of each of my kids. The caliber of her artistry and handiwork is proof positive that this is truly Kelly’s passion and calling – to create special memories for people. And she did not disappoint! During the process, Kelly has been a consummate professional…she is organized, creative, responsive, accommodating, etc – a real pro! We so enjoyed getting to know each other, and I know I’ll continue to use her services over the coming years.
