Overcoming Your Past Isaiah 43:18-19 Remember not the former things nor consider the things of old. Behold I am doing a new thing now it springs forth, do you not perceive it. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. I am writing this post not only to others but ministering to myself as well. When I worked for Bishop Jakes I remember him preaching a sermon called Stinking Thinking so powerful! I am learning today that I am not my past no matter what it looks like around me or the circumstances that are before me I might not be able to trace God However I can trust him in and for the outcome to be glorious and designed specifically for Bernita. Whenever the enemy tries to discourage me, I begin to speak those things that be not as though they were. In my career and in the entertainment industry you come up against sooooo much negativity daily. However I am at a place now where even if it looks one way for my fellow entertainers I Bernita Ewing have the favor of God on my life and favor is better then silver, gold, contracts, status, location, critics, and the list goes on. So I no longer listen to people regarding there stinking thinking or that little voice inside me that tries to bring up my past and the old stinking thinking. I know and am certain and I have concrete evidence glory to God that my Father God is doing a newwwwwww thing in my life all the old things have are passed away glory to God. Take this word with you today in knowing that we will have no more stinking thinking tell the devil he is a liar God has and is doing a new thing. I am not my past! Amen
