Overcoming fear of failure in Enterprise While a farmer was busy cultivating his farmland in the mid day, a stranger with a name boldly written on his clothes, ‘Mr. Death’ passed through the footpath that leads to the farmer’s town. To satisfy his curiosity, the farmer approached the strange visitor. “Hello! Mr. Death, where exactly are you going this early hour of the day and what is your mission?” The farmer asked. “Oh! I am on my way to your town and my mission is to kill just five people today.” Mr. Death replied. With that reply, the farmer didn’t raise any objection as he continued his business on the farm. However, few hours after their conversation, the farmer got a bad news that about 100 people had just died in his town. He was so devastated that he had to stop work to return home. On his way home, he met Mr. Death and engaged him in a shouting match. “Why did you kill 100 people as against the fi ve people you told me you were going to kill earlier?” But to his surprise, Mr. Death replied him regretfully, “I killed only five people as I told you in our conversation, but the other 95 people were killed by fear.” Dear entrepreneur, the lesson in this story is that fear is a major killer of many peoples’ dream; do not permit it in your pursuit. You must be deliberate to tame your fear now and experience your aspiration. If fear were not in existence, then no venture will be regarded as risk. Often times, fear is false evidence appearing real. The limitation of average an entrepreneur is the fear of losing fund, relationship and it is a common factor but those who are successful in business overcame that fear. nationalmirroronline.net/new/overcoming-fear-of-failure/
