Our client is environmentally friendly and is the nations largest recycler of scrap steel. We are searching for Overhead Crane Technicians to join our clients growing team. As the Crane Technician you will be responsible for: • Maintaining all overhead traveling cranes and plant mobile equipment • Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance • Ordering parts and preparing work orders • Ensuring safety is always a top priority Qualifications for the position include: • Able to work safely at extreme heights • Strong written and verbal communication skills, a positive team attitude and strong work ethic, and the ability to make decisions without supervision • Thorough understanding of basic electrical theory • Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience • Strong mechanical understanding and ability • Aggressive problem solving skills • VFD, AC motors, AC motor control experience, automotive and diesel knowledge • Willing to work in a demanding environment • Must pass entry-level electrical and mechanical tests Preferred qualifications include: • Welding and fabrication background • DC motors, DC motor control experience • Diesel engine knowledge Our client offers a full benefits package including medical/dental, 401K, profit sharing and educational reimbursement.
